Studies in the Cinema of the Black Diaspora
This series is devoted to the study of black filmmaking in the global diaspora. Of particular focus are the filmmaking careers of black directors, as well as seminal and distinctive films that engage with black life and are of enduring historical, cultural, political, and aesthetic importance. The series offers film scholars, cineastes, teachers, and students the opportunity to engage with in-depth and critically rigorous scholarship about the black presence in, and contribution to, world cinema. Inquiries can be sent to series editors Michael Martin ([email protected]) or David Wall ([email protected]). Submit a book proposal through our online form here.
