Music and the Early Modern Imagination
The Music and the Early Modern Imagination series invites the work of scholars interested in interdisciplinary approaches to early modern music - broadly defined as ranging from the 14th through the early 18th centuries. The series emphasizes studies that center on highly specific topics - single works or their equivalent, important concepts, single events, or important texts in music history - and considers them from a broad spectrum of approaches, from cultural history to specific critical modes like gender, politics, sexuality, patronage, subjectivity, voice, and a variety of literary approaches. Inquiries may be sent to series editor Massimo Ossi ([email protected]). Submit a book proposal through our online form here.
