The African Expressive Cultures series explores the richness and inventive spirit of the expressive arts in contemporary Africa, publishing single-authored studies and multi-authored collections from across the multidisciplinary landscape of African studies. Works will explore, but will not be limited to, the visual arts, television, radio, popular video, popular literature and theater, street theatre, performance music, popular music, social club activities, dance, sports religion, and public and private ritual.
