Philanthropic and Nonprofit Studies
Philanthropy is a fundamental aspect of the American experience, but only on occasion has philanthropy and its institutions been the object of serious study. This series aims to encourage the growth of scholarly interest in the emerging field of philanthropic and nonprofit studies. Books in the series are written by scholars and practitioners to serve a growing readership of academics, nonprofit executives, trustees, and volunteer leaders. The series has been created under the auspices of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
