Chiricú Journal: Latina/o Literatures, Arts, and Cultures is a peer-reviewed humanities publication dedicated to both critical inquiry and cultural expression. Chiricú showcases new scholarship from diverse disciplines as well as creative works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, the visual arts, interviews, personal essays, and reviews of books, film, and exhibitions. Each issue is thematic in nature and capacious in scope. We have published interviews with or original works by prominent artists, writers, and filmmakers, including: Cristina García, Giannina Braschi, Silvia Ortiz, Claudia Nina, Edmundo Desnoes, John Valadez, Juana Alicia, Lourdes Portillo, Alex Rivera, and Natalia Almada; and scholarly works by Ana Celia Zentella, Gabriel Meléndez, and Rachel V. González-Martin.
