Annie will also contribute to the leadership of Indiana University Publishing. Indiana University Publishing is a developing program that leverages the capabilities and expertise of Indiana University Press and IU Libraries. This program integrates and expands scholarly publishing services and supports a variety of publishing formats and solutions. “I am thrilled at this opportunity to work with a lauded institution like Indiana University Press and to collaborate on building the Indiana University Publishing program with a talented team who share my energy and love of information and the written word.”
During her tenure at Wayne State University Press, Martin oversaw the press’s editorial strategy while developing important subject areas, book series, and imprints, including the Made in Michigan Writers Series. Under Annie’s leadership, Wayne State University Press was able to secure important funding support for its work through generous grants from national and community foundations in Michigan while cultivating important relationships with writers and scholars throughout the state.
“Annie is highly respected in academic publishing and is known for building strong relationships with authors and their communities, and her passion for amplifying underrepresented voices,” said Diane Dallis–Comentale, Ruth Lilly Dean of University Libraries for Indiana University Bloomington. “We’re delighted to have Annie join the team and look forward to her contributions toward advancing the initiatives of Indiana University Publishing.”
